Best Valorant Console Settings for PS5 & Xbox

When it comes to Valorant console it’s important to have settings that work for you. This can be difficult to get right with no guideline of what works. Fortunately, we have come up with the best Valorant console settings that you can adjust to your liking.

Best Map Settings for Valorant Console

Typically, you will want to adjust your Valorant map settings to allow you to see as much of the map as possible. However, you will not want the map to be too big that it becomes distracting or obstructs your view. Because of this you may want to adjust the settings to your liking, however, keeping the size no bigger than 1.2 and zoom no lower than 0.7 is usually best.

Rotate Map With Player: Off
Show Map Region Names: Always
Invert Cursor Controls X: Off
Invert Cursor Controls Y: Off
Minimap Size: 1.1
Minimap Zoom: 0.9
Keep Player Centered: On
Minimap Vision Cones: On

Best Audio Settings for Valorant Console

As with the PC version of Valorant, your audio is very important. With audio you can hear enemy footsteps, sounds, plants, and defuses. Due to this you will want to have settings that allow you to hear as clearly as possible. However, some settings won’t affect gameplay so you can adjust these to your liking.

Overall Volume: 100%
Sound Effects Volume: 100%
Voice-over Volume: 80%
Video Volume: 80%
All Music Overall Volume: 50%
Menu And Lobby Music Volume: 100%
Agent Select Music Volume: 100%
Enable Voice Chat: On

Other Settings

Under the audio settings tab you will see the other option. Here you will want to turn on VOIP duck if you have music enabled. Additionally, you should test playing with the Enable HRTF option turned on and off. While some may prefer having it off, you may find it easier to hear enemies with HRTF enabled in Valorant.

Best Aim Sensitivity Settings for Valorant Console

With accuracy being so vital in Valorant, it is important that you get the best aim settings for you. Unfortunately, it can be hard to find exactly what works best, especially when you may be accustom to other games with simpler aiming systems. Instead, Valorant console has an array of settings that allow you to fine tune your aim settings to try give you the best chance of being accurate.

Although one set of settings won’t work for everyone, there is an ideal outcome for your settings. To get the best aim sensitivity settings you will want something that allows you to move between two targets quickly, while still being accurate. Fortunately, you can pair your aim sensitivity with an aim curve to make it easier to be accurate with high sensitivity.

Advanced Sensitivity Settings: On
Base Horizontal Sensitivity: 10
Base Vertical Sensitivity: 10
Focus Horizontal Sensitivity: 9
Focus Vertical Sensitivity: 9
Sniper Horizontal Sensitivity: 7.2
Sniper Vertical Sensitivity: 7.2

Precision Mode

You can enter precision mode to better control some of your settings in Valorant. This is particularily helpful for the aim sensitivity settings. If a setting has precision mode then the option will appear in the bottom right corner of your screen. Typically, you will need to hold down X on PS5 or A on Xbox. Doing so will allow you to adjust your selected setting by smaller increments.

Focus / ADS Priority

When you hold down your aim button you will be placed into either the focus or ADS mode depending on your setting. Typically, you will want to use the prioritize focus setting. This prioritize focus mode allows you to aim more accurately, without too many disadvantages. Additionally, with prioritize focus you can still enter ADS mode if needed.

Best Aim Curve Settings for Valorant Console

When paired with sensitivity, your aim curve settings can be the difference between winning or losing a fight. Your aim curve controls how slow your sensitivity will become when moving. This change in sensitivity allows you to use a higher sensitivity while still being accurate. Because of this you will want to use at least light, but the stronger options tend to be better.

Base Aim Curve: Extreme
Focus Aim Curve: Light
ADS Aim Curve: Light
Sniper Aim Curve: Light

Controller Preset

With controller preset you will want to use the option that feels most natural to you. Specifically, whatever matches other games you play. However, if unsure then the Valorant preset is a good option.

Enemy Highlight Color

The enemy highlight color controls what color the enemy players have around them. While this can be preference, you will want to use the color that you react to faster. In most cases this will be yellow or red.

First Person Handedness

With Valorant comes the ability to switch which side your weapons are on. This is beleived to help people who have a dominant eye. The idea is that if you are left eye dominate then you will want to set first person handedness to right. However, if you’re right eye dominate then you will want to set first person handedness to left. Although this may be the case, it’s best to use whatever feels most comfortable to you.

Crouch Behavior

An often overlooked setting is crouch behaviour. With Valorant your stance can make a significant difference. Ideally, you will want to set crouch behavior to hold as it allows you to change between stances quicker. However, toggle is easier and recommended for beginners.

Crossplay

While many console players may be used to turning off crossplay, it doesn’t work the same in Valorant. With Valorant you can only crossplay with other consoles, not PC. Because of this you will typically want to have crossplay turned on as it can help you find games faster.
