How to Do a Finishing Move in Black Ops 6

In Black Ops 6 there are two options when it comes to performing a finishing move. The first option is the execution or typical finishing move seen in previous Call of Duty titles. To perform a finishing move in Black Ops 6 you will need to hold down your melee button. However, there is now also the option to use someone as a body shield. When you are using someone as a body shield you can quick kill them or choose to perform a finishing move.

Make Finishing Move Double-Tap Instead of Hold

Instead of having to hold down the melee button you can instead double-tap the melee button to perform a finishing move. However, this requires you to change the body shield/finishing move behavior setting found in the combat advanced settings.

1. Open the Settings.

2. Select your input device (Controller or Keyboard & Mouse).

3. Go to the Combat tab.

4. Select Combat Advanced Settings.

5. Set Body Shield/Finishing Move Behavior to Prioritize Body Shield.

How to Turn Off Finishing Move in Black Ops 6

Black Ops 6 allows you to turn off the finishing move option when you are behind a player. This allows you to only use the body shield mechanic. To remove the finishing move option you will need to set the Body Shield/Finishing Move Behavior option to Body Shield Only.

This is useful as it can help prevent you from accidently performing a finishing move. Additionally, if you only want to use the body shield mechanic then this prevents you from accidently eliminating your opponent.
