You can add trusted connections by scanning your friends QR code on their profile. When you add someone using their QR code you will have the option to add them as a trusted connection. However, in some cases the person adding you will need to scan your QR code for it to work. Alternatively, if you’re trying to add someone as a trusted connection on Roblox mobile then you can select the Contacts option on the connection page, then add someone from your phone’s contact. Although this is another option, it does require the person to have their phone number linked to their Roblox account for this to work.
1. Select Connect on the Roblox home page.
2. Select the My QR button.
3. Have a friend scan your QR code and add you as a connection.
Can’t Add Someone As Trusted Connection
If you can’t add someone as a trusted connection then it’s most likely because one of you don’t meet the requirements. To be able to add trusted connections both people must have completed the age verification process to estimate their age, and both people must be 13+ on Roblox. If this isn’t the case then you won’t be able to add someone as a trusted connection. In cases where you both meet the requirements then the other person can try using the QR code to add you as a trusted connection. For example, if it won’t work with you scanning their QR code then you can have them scan yours.
Alternative to Trusted Connections
There are many options you can use to chat if you can’t get trusted connections to work. If you’re looking to voice chat then a simple phone call will work. However, for text and voice chat you can of course use Discord to host a private call. However, if you are trying to add someone as a trusted connection because either you or your friend’s age estimation was incorrect. then you can actually redo your age check to try and get a more accurate age estimation. Alternatively, you can change your age group in Roblox using your ID to ensure it gets it correct.
What is a Trusted Connection?
A trusted connection is someone who has added you on Roblox using either your QR code or Contact. When you have someone added as a trusted connection you will be able to chat with them using both text and voice chat, even if you’re not in the same age group. This allows you to add people you know in real life on Roblox, and play with them using chat features.
