How to ADS on Valorant Console

You can ADS on Valorant console by holding down L2 or LT then press down the right stick. By pressing the L2 or LT button you will enter focus mode, which is typically used for precision in Valorant. However, pressing down the right stick or on your controller will then toggle ADS. You can press the right stick down again to toggle back to focus mode.

How to ADS in Valorant Console with L2 or LT

In most shooter games the L2 or LT buttons are used to ADS. However, in Valorant console it will typically put you into focus mode. Fortunately, you can always change this setting. Additionally, you will still be able to enter focus mode by aiming down sight then pressing the right stick.

1. Open the Settings, then go to Controls.

2. Go down to the Aim options.

3. Set the Prioritize Focus / ADS option to ADS.

Is ADS or Focus Mode Better for Valorant Console?

When it comes to the Valorant aiming modes, the focus option is typically best. With the focus mode you get a happy middle ground between aiming down sight and hip firing. Focus mode allows you to switch between targets and fire quicker while still being accurate. This means that focus mode will typically be the better option for most interactions. However, if you find it more comfortable to ADS then you can use it wherever possible.

Can You ADS in Valorant?

Although not always utilized, you can ADS in Valorant with specific weapons. However, the ADS feature is typically only used in specific scenarios. When you ADS in Valorant you lose movement speed. Additionally, unlike other games you can’t fire while transitioning into ADS. This means you have a delay before you can shoot. Because of the slower movement and firing delay, hip fire is the preferred method in most interactions.

Is There Aim Assist in Valorant Console?

Although there is no option for aim assist in the settings, Valorant console does have aim assist. If you feel like your aim assist isn’t strong enough then you may want to change your sensitivity aim curve settings. By making changes to your aim settings you may find that your aim assist feels stronger and you are more accurate. While the best aim settings vary depending on preference, you will typically want to use at least a light aim curve.
