What Resolution is a Roblox Game Icon?
When creating a game icon for your Roblox experience you will want to use a square aspect ratio with a resolution of at least 512 pixels wide and high. Ideally, you will want to use a higher resolution to ensure the game icon is high quality. Typically using a resolution of 1024×1024 will work well.
Can You Change Your Roblox Game Icon Using Roblox Studio?
Unfortunately, you can’t change your Roblox game icon through the Roblox Studio application. Instead, you will need to use the Creator Studio website.
Difference Between a Game Icon and Game Thumbnail
In Roblox there are two primary images players will see, your game icon and your game thumbnail. A game icon is the square image seen under the Continue heading and when players search for a game. This is often used like an application icon.
Whereas a game thumbnail is a preview or promotional photo for your game. Roblox game thumbnails are used when Roblox is promoting your game. For example, a thumbnail will appear under the “Recommended For You” and “Today’s Picks” headings. Additionally, thumbnails are shown on the game’s information page to help potential players see what your Roblox game is about.
