When playing Minecraft on PC you need to use the WASD keys to move. These controls can take a bit to get used to, however, they help you place your hand in the ideal position for controlling your character. To sprint or run on Minecraft PC you will need to hold down the CTRL button. Meanwhile, you can crouch or sneak by holding down the Left-Shift key. Alternatively, you can make it so the Shift and CTRL key work as a toggle to prevent needing to hold it down. This can be done through the Control settings in the game menu.
How to Emote on Minecraft PC
To emote on Minecraft you can press B on your keyboard, then select the emote that you want to use. Unfortunately, you can only use emotes on Minecraft Bedrock. The Java version of Minecraft currently doesn’t have the ability to emote.

However, the overlay does obstruct most of your screen. To open the overlay you will need to press the F3 key. Depending on your keyboard you may need to hold down the FN button to use the F keys. This is typically the case on smaller keyboards and laptops.
