You can stop your crosshair from moving on Valorant by turning off all movement and firing error options. These options can be turned off in the crosshair inner line and outer line settings. Once you have disabled all movement and firing error options your crosshair will stop expanding.
Movement Error
The movement error options are available for both the inner and outer line settings. When movement error is enabled your crosshair will spread apart when your movement impacts your accuracy. With movement error enabled your crosshair will move, letting you know when to begin firing.
Firing Error
Consecutive fire will result in lower accuracy in Valorant. As a result, having the firing error options enabled for inner and outer lines will have your crosshair spread as you spray. This helps you know when to start and stop firing your weapon. These options cause your crosshair to expand when your accuracy is being affected.
Fade Crosshair with Firing Error
With the fade crosshair option enabled the top line of your crosshair will vanish when you need to reset fire. This is helpful for controlling your fire and being as accurate as possible. If you don’t want your crosshair to move then you will want this option disabled. You can find the fade crosshair setting in the general crosshair settings.
Final Thoughts
The error options help let you know when your accuracy is being impacted. While this is useful, it’s not necessary. As you become more experience in Valorant the need for having any error settings enabled won’t be needed. Naturally, you will pick up the timing and it will become second nature. A moving crosshair can be distracting or negatively impact your gameplay. Focusing on the crosshair movement may distract you from other moving objects on your screen. Additionally, an increased crosshair size can also impact your accuracy.
