You can switch between game ready and studio drivers in the NVIDIA app by going to the Drivers page and selecting your current driver type. This can be found at towards the top-right of the window, directly next to the refresh button. Once selected you will have the option to choose which driver you want to use.

What are Game Ready Drivers?
If you play games then you will typically want to use game ready drivers. These are released more frequently to fix performance issues with existing games, and to support new releases. Often a game ready driver will be released just before the launch of a AAA title, such as Call of Duty. You will find that the newer driver can help fix lag or stuttering when gaming, and in some cases will allow you to use NVIDIA game filters with newly released games.
What are Studio Drivers?
Studio drivers are released less often, however, are typically more reliable builds. Because of this they are ideal for creatives working with photo and video editing software as performance for creative applications is the primary focus. While these drivers are made with creatives in mind, they are still suitable for gaming if you wish to do so. However, game ready drives typically also work fine with creative applications.
Should I Use NVIDIA Game Ready or Studio Drivers?
The option really depends on what you’re looking for, however, the decision isn’t too influential. In cases where you don’t play games but do a lot of video editing or creative work then NVIDIA studio drivers are probably your best bet. However, if you’re like myself and spend a lot of time creating content then you may think studio drivers are the best option. However, I have always preferred to use Game Ready drivers. This is primarily because a lot of the content I make is based around video games, and I like to play casually whenever I have the time. For anyone that mainly uses their PC to game, or is constantly playing the newest releases then game ready drivers are typically a good choice.
