In some instances, it can be reasonably difficult to see enemies in Warzone 2. Fortunately, there are some adjustments that you can make to help you see enemies better. Most methods can be done through your PC or console, however, having a good gaming monitor can also help.
Adjust Game Brightness
Many players either don’t touch their in-game brightness or set it too high. Having your brightness set according to the Warzone 2 guides will help clear up the image. If your brightness is set too high then the game will look washed out and lose depth. With your brightness set correctly you will be able to see enemies easier as they will stand out from the background better.
Use Color Filter 2
You can add a color filter to Warzone 2 via the color customization options in the interface settings. While there are different color filters available, we recommend color filter 2 with the target set to both. This will apply the filter to your gameplay and interface. The intensity of the filter can be controlled individually allowing you to fine-tune the settings to your liking. Typically, a gameplay intensity of 80 or higher is best as it will make Warzone 2 look more vibrant and colorful.
Use FidelityFX Cas Sharpening
In Warzone 2 you can choose between different upscaling or sharpening options. While each has their uses, the FidelityFX Cas option will improve visibility in Warzone 2 making it easier to see enemies.
Adjust Nvidia Control Panel Color Settings
PC players with an NVIDIA graphics card can use the NVIDIA color settings to make Warzone 2 look better. When adjusting the NVIDIA color settings you will want to make dark areas of the map look brighter, without looking washed out. To get the desired effected you can slightly increase the brightness and contrast settings. To find the best settings for your screen we recommend opening a screenshot from in-game, or putting the game in a mode other than fullscreen. This will allow you to adjust the color settings with a reference. Additionally, you can increase the digital vibrance to make Warzone 2 more colorful.
Using the NVIDIA color settings you can control each color channel individually. However, you will typically want to adjust all channels at once. This is a lot easier and allows you to customize how Warzone 2 looks on your screen.
Change Screen Settings
Many screens have color and image settings built in. These settings can be utilized by both PC and console players to make enemies easier to see in Warzone. When adjusting screen settings you will want to focus on a few different settings. Adjusting screen brightness and contrast will help you make it easier to see in dark corners of the map. The goal when adjusting these settings is to improve visibility without making the game look washed out. This will help make enemies stand out from the background without any issues.
Additionally, you will want to increase your screen vibrance or saturation. By increasing either option Warzone 2 will look more colorful. This may help with seeing enemies as they will stand out more from the surrounding area.
Some screens may also have a gamma setting. Changing the gamma of your display is another method to make dark areas in Warzone 2 more visible. Typically, you will only want to adjust brightness or gamma, not both.
Set Camera Movement to Least
In Warzone 2 you can adjust your camera movement settings. By setting camera movement to least your camera will move less in certain situations. Making it easier to track enemies and aim better.
Use Square Mini Map
The square mini map has a larger surface area. Resulting in more possible information being seen. By using the square mini map you can see where enemies are located easier, allowing you to make better decisions when playing.
Turn Off Depth of Field
With depth of field enabled objects at a distance will become blurry. You will want to turn off depth of field so enemies at long ranges are easier to see.
Turn Off Motion Blur
Warzone 2 has weapon and world motion blur options. By turning off both motion blur options your image will be more clear helping you notice enemy players better.
Disable Film Grain
The film grain setting will add a grainy texture to your game. By setting film grain to 0 your gameplay will look more crisp helping enemies stand out better.
Change Field of View
With a high field of view you’ll have a better view to your sides. However, enemies and objects will appear smaller on your screen. By lowering your FOV you’ll be able to see enemies better but lose the visibility around you. We recommend playing with your FOV setting to find what works best for you. Typically somewhere between 100 and 120 will work best.
Change Weapon Field of View
Switching your weapon field of view can clear up some space on your screen. We recommend either using a narrow or wide weapon FOV. With a wide field of view, your weapon will appear smaller freeing up some space on your screen. However, this angle of the weapon can interfere with visibility in some areas. Using the narrow field of view will clear up these areas making it easier to see enemies.
Use NVIDIA Filters
Another option is to use NVIDIA filters. Using game filters allows you to control exactly how Warzone looks, making the game more vibrant and colorful. However. game filters are quite intensive. Meaning that your performance may be significantly impacted when using them. Because of this you’ll typically want to avoid using filters unless you have a high-end PC.
Final Thoughts
Warzone 2 has numerous settings that allow you to optimize visibility to make enemies easier to see. Additionally, you can also change display color settings. By changing these options your game will look better helping you win more fights.
