The Glorious Model O and Model O- both allow you to double click. There are two primary ways that you can use the Model O to double click, or increase the speed of your mouse clicks. Both options require the official Model O software. The software allows you to make changes to your mouse settings that are required to double click.

What is Double Clicking?

Double clicking allows you to register one mouse click as two. This can be done by actuating a mouse button a certain way, or by modifying the mouse settings.

The purpose of double clicking is to increase the CPS, or clicks per second, a person can make. Higher click speeds are preferred in certain games, as it gives you an advantage against opponents.

Not all mice are capable of double clicking this way. Many mice are designed to prevent such action. However some mice allow you to customise the settings to enable the feature.

How to Setup Double Clicking

To enable double clicking on the Model O you will need the official mouse software. If you are only installing the software for the first time, then you will need to complete a firmware update for your mouse.

Start by launching the Glorious Model O software, and switch to the Debounce menu on the right.

Lower the debounce time to 4, then apply.

Reducing the debounce time will allow the mouse to register clicks after a shorter interval, and potentially read one click as two. Lowering the debounce time can have other side effects, especially when you’re not gaming. If you are noticing some unwanted performance then you may want to increase the debounce value.

Double Click with a Fire Key

If you want to assign the fire key to the left click button, then you will need to reassign the left click function.

Start by choosing another mouse button, typically buttons 4, 5 and 6 work best.

Click on the button function next to the chosen number, then select the left button.

Choose button one and select Fire Key from the drop menu.

A new window will now open. Set the intervals between 5 and 12, and the loop to either 2 or 3. The interval is the time between the clicks. Whereas the loop will set how many times the action is played.

Double Click Alternatives

There are two alternatives for increasing your click speed, a double click macro, and auto clicking. Both of these are situational and should be used with caution in mind when gaming. Using macros may be against a game’s rules, and should only be used when applicable.

Double Click Macro

Open the macro editor.

Create a new macro, and name it.

Insert a left button event via the drop menu on the right.

Double click on the press and release delay, then set it to 15.

Select the bottom “Left Button” entry.

Select the second “Left Button” event. then insert another delay. Set the new delay between 10 and 50.

Insert another left button, and set the delay to 15.

Close the menu, and assign the macro to a button on your mouse. If you want to use the left mouse click for your macro, you will need to reassign the left click to a different button

Auto Clicker

Open the macro editor on the left side of the window.

Create a new macro and name it.

Insert a left click via the insert event.

Right click on the delay and choose to modify, then set the delay between 10 and 50. The lower this number the faster the auto clicker will be.

Enable one of the cycle options on the right. The Cycle until the key is released will have the auto clicker repeat until you release the assigned button. The Cycle until any key pressed option will have the auto click macro repeat until you press the any key, allowing you to toggle on and off the macro.

Close the window and assign the macro to one of the mouse buttons via the options in the top left. To use button one with a macro, you will need to assign the left click option to another button first.

Conclusion

The preferred method for double clicking is changing debounce time. Reducing debounce time is often accepted by games as a natural way to increase CPS. The Glorious Model O does offer other ways to increase click speed. The ability to create auto clickers and double click macros make the software optimal for increasing click speed.
