How to Fix Roblox Not Installing Error – Install Stuck

One of the easiest methods to fix the Roblox not installing error is to run the installer as an administrator. If you have already been trying to run Roblox with the correct permissions then the solution could be that some Roblox files have been installed but the installation process hasn’t finished correctly.

Run the Roblox Installer with Administrator Permissions

To install Roblox you may need administrator permissions. If the user account that you’re using to install Roblox doesn’t have administrator permissions then this may be the issue. Even if you have the correct permissions you can right-click on the Roblox Installer application and choose to run as administrator.

Run the Roblox Launcher Application or Player Installer Application

If Roblox isn’t installing then some files may have already been created on your PC. These files are located in the Local folder within the AppData folder. These files are used to open and play Roblox, if they haven’t finished installing then you won’t be able to launch Roblox.

1. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Run.

2. Type %localappdata% then click Ok.

3. Open the Roblox Folder.

4. Open the Versions folder.

5. Use the Date Modified column to find the newest version folder.

6. Open the newest version folder.

7. Run the Roblox Launcher or Roblox Player Installer application. If you don’t have either then go to the second most recent versions folder.

8. Launch Roblox.

Remove Roblox Files and Reinstall

Another option is to remove any existing Roblox files and reinstall. If files have become corrupted or aren’t working correctly then this can help fix those issues.

1. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Installed Apps or Apps & Features on Windows 10.

2. Select the Search bar.

3. Search for Roblox.

4. Click the three dots and select Uninstall.

5. Select Uninstall again.

6. Allow Changes if asked and click Yes to confirm.

7. Right-click the Start Menu and select Run.

8. Type %localappdata%.

9. Select and Delete the Roblox folder.

10. Run the Roblox Installer.

Restart Your Computer

A solution worth trying is to restart you computer. While this may seem trivial a simple restart of your PC can help elevate issues. This is particularly useful if Roblox has installed but isn’t opening.

Use the Microsoft Store Version of Roblox

If you can’t get the standard Roblox application to install then you can try using the Microsoft Store version of Roblox. This will allow you to play the same experiences just using a different type of application. You can open the Microsoft Store by opening the Start Menu and selecting it. Typically the Microsoft Store will be a pinned application. After the Microsoft Store is open you can use the Search bar to find Roblox. You will need to click the Get button first, then an Install button will appear.
