If you are experiencing an issue where Roblox is not launching or you can’t open the Roblox application then there are a few solutions. However, if you are experiencing an issue where Roblox won’t install then there are a few other options.
Restart Your Computer
The first solution is to restart your computer. In some cases, there may be background processes that are preventing Roblox from running correctly. An easy way to fix this is to restart your PC. This works as restarting your computer will close the processes allowing Roblox to open. Typically this issue will only occur if Roblox has been opened since you last turned the computer off. However, restarting your computer is always a good first choice to fix the issue.
Run Roblox As Administrator
If you can’t open Roblox then another option is to run Roblox as administrator. To do this you can right-click on the Roblox shortcut and choose to run as administrator. Alternatively, search for Roblox in the Start menu and choose to run the app as administrator. This can be done by right-clicking on the Roblox app.
Uninstall & Reinstall Roblox
If the previous methods haven’t worked then you can try uninstalling and reinstalling Roblox. This will remove the Roblox files allowing you to have a fresh start. If a file isn’t working correctly or has become corrupt then reinstalling Roblox can fix the issue.
1. Open the Start Menu.
2. Search for Installed Apps and Open it. (Search for Apps & Features on Windows 10).
3. Find the Roblox player app.
4. Click the three dots and choose to uninstall. (Select it on Windows 10).
5. Click Uninstall again to Confirm.
6. Right-click on the Start Menu and select Run.
7. Type %localappdata% then press Ok.
8. Select the Roblox folder, then right-click & choose to Delete.
9. Run the Roblox Installer.
Use the Microsoft Store Version of Roblox
As a final solution, you can use the Microsoft Store version of Roblox. You can open the Microsoft Store by searching for it from the Start Menu. Once in the store, you can use the search bar to find and install Roblox. This is a good solution if you can’t get the standard Roblox app to open.
