You can play Fortnite on PC with a controller by using a cable, or with Bluetooth. When your controller is connected you will need to choose your button binds and adjust your controller settings in the game.

Directly Connect your Controller

The best method to play controller on Fortnite PC is to plug your controller directly into your PC with a cable. By connecting to the PC with a cable you ensure the best input latency and performance for your controller. Additionally, Fortnite will register the controller natively provided it’s either an Xbox or PlayStation controller.

What Cable Does My Controller Need?

Xbox and PlayStation controllers both have controllers that use micro USB and USB C cables for connection. To find out what cable you need you will need to view the port on the top of your controller. If the port is thin and rounded then it is a USB C port. Micro USB ports have a tapered bottom with more defined corners. Newer controllers typically make use of USB C cables, while older controllers tend to use micro USB cables.
