To be able to unlock chat in Roblox you need to complete an age check. This can be one of two ways, either by verifying your ID, or by completing the age estimation process. Fortunately, doing the age estimation process is easy, and only requires you to have a camera. If you typically play Roblox on PC and don’t have a camera then you can do the age check on your phone or tablet instead, then switch back to your PC to play Roblox.
1. Select More, then open the Settings.
2. Open the Account Info settings.
3. Click the Continue with Camera or Continue with Selfie button.
4. Verify with authenticator if needed.
5. Click Continue, then select Continue again.
6. Click Allow or Yes to allow Roblox to use your camera.
7. Place your face in the circle, then follow the instructions to complete the age check
How to Enable Chat in Roblox
Once you have completed the age check you can then enable chat. By default this may be on, however, if it isn’t then you’ll need to turn it on. To enable chat you need to go to the Privacy & content restriction options, then select Communication, then Experience chat. Here you will need to turn on the experience chat setting to be able to use Roblox chat.
Who Can I Chat with in Roblox?
Once you have verified your age you can talk with anyone in the same age group as you, and surrounding age groups in some instances. However, you can add someone as a trusted friend and talk to that person regardless of the different age group. This allows you to communicate with trusted people that you know in real life.

How to Unlock Voice Chat in Roblox
The process to unlock voice chat in Roblox is the same a game chat, you must check or verify your age. However, the requirements are different. To get voice chat in voice chat you need to be 13 years or older. If the age check places you into a lower age group then you won’t get voice chat. Additionally, the country you’re in may change whether you can use voice chat or not. If you do unlock voice chat then you will need to set the voice chat setting to connected. This can be done through the Roblox game settings, rather than your account settings.
