Best Aim Assist Setting in XDefiant
When it comes to XDefiant’s aim assist options the best option is standard. With standard you get a good amount of aim assist, making it easier to hit your target. Whereas the only other current alternative is to disable aim assist. By setting your aim assist to standard you are essentially turning aim assist on.
Aim Assist Strength & Aim Assist Follow
You will want to ensure your aim assist strength and aim assist follow are both set to 0. With these set to 0 your aim assist will be enabled and as strong as possible. This allows you to lock on to your target and track their movements with ease.
Best Aim Assist Response Curve
For XDefiant you will want to use the Reverse S-Curve option. With Reverse S-Curve your aim will be faster when your stick movement is fast, and slower when you move your stick slower. This is ideal for improving your aim as you can make fine adjustments easier when in a gunfight. Additionally, the increased speed allows you to turn quicker, allowing you to react faster.
Best Button Layout for XDefiant
For your button layout it really comes down to what you are comfortable with. However, the brawler and default layout options tend to be the best. The Default button layout is a great option, especially for those who use a pro controller. With default you melee with your right-stick, making it easy to hit a player that comes close to you. However, for movement the Brawler button layout is typically best as it allows you to crouch or slide using your right stick. As movement is vital in XDefiant the brawler layout should be used in most cases.
Best Field of View for XDefiant
If you’re playing controller then you may want to set your field of view to about 105 or 110 rather than 120. Although it may be tempting to use 120 FPS for the increased vision, your visual aim assist may feel weaker. Because of this it’s worthwhile testing various FOV settings until you find what works best for you. Starting at 105 and increasing or decreasing as you see fit will allow you to find the perfect FOV for you.
