LEGO Fortnite allows players to explore a world full of different biomes. To start playing LEGO Fortnite you’ll need to create a new world or select an existing one you’ve already started. If you can’t select a world, it’ll appear disabled. Fortunately, there are a few options to fix the LEGO Fortnite world disabled error.
Disconnect Other Controllers
One of the more common causes of the LEGO Fortnite world disabled issue is extra controllers being connected to your console. This happens as Fortnite believes you’re trying to split screen. This can be the issue even if a second character isn’t shown in your lobby. To fix the issue simply disconnect any controller you’re not using from your console then try again.
Switch to Battle Royale
If you still can’t select a world after disconnecting other controllers then you can try switching to another game mode and back. The Battle Royale mode is commonly used, however, any other game mode should work fine. Additionally, you’ll want to wait until the lobby loads before switching back to LEGO Fortnite.
Join a Fortnite Match
Sometimes joining a match and leaving can fix the issue. You will need to wait until you have spawned in before leaving to ensure it works. Again, we recommend using Battle Royale for this. Also, be sure not to load into a squad game with fill enabled as you don’t want to ruin someone’s game.
Restart Fortnite
If everything else fails then you can try to restart Fortnite. This fix can be done on PC and console, however, it will require you to completely close the game. Minimizing the application and reopening it won’t fix the issue.
Verify Files
On PC you can try verifying files to fix any issues that may be occurring with Fortnite. You can verify files through the Epic Games launcher.
- Go to Library on the Epic Games Launcher.
- Select the three dots under Fortnite.
- Select Manage.
- Click Verify.
