With the introduction of age groups you will no longer be able to talk to everyone on Roblox. Instead, you are restricted to talking to people in the same age group or in similar age groups to you. This affects both the experience text chat and voice chat in Roblox. However, the Roblox age estimation isn’t flawless. This means after you have done your age check it is possible that your age group is wrong. Fortunately, you can change age group on Roblox by using ID.
1. Select More, then open the Settings.
2. Select Account Info from the top.
3. Find the Use an ID to verify your birthday option and click the Continue button.
4. Verify with authenticator if needed, then click Continue.
5. Choose your location, then click Continue.
6. Select the type of ID you want to use.
7. Click Continue again then use your camera to take a photo of your ID. You may need to take a photo of the front and back.
Can You Change Your Age Group in Roblox?
Yes, however, there are requirements. The first way to change your age group is to undergo the Roblox age check process, provided you haven’t already. This will set your age group according to your age estimation, rather than your birthday. However, if your age estimation is incorrect, then you can use your ID to verify your age.
How to Check Your Age Group on Roblox
You can check your age group on Roblox by going to the Account Info settings. If you are using the Roblox app then you’ll need to select More then open the Settings. However, if you’re trying to see your age group on browser then you’ll need to click the gear icon and choose to open the Settings. Your age group is shown just below the Personal heading, and above your birthday. If it says “Checked” next to your age group then you have already completed the age estimation process.
