Crossplay allows you to play games with friends even if you’re on different gaming systems. However, this also means you will play matches against people that are playing on different consoles. You can turn off Crossplay in XDefiant through the Matchmaking & Account settings.
With crossplay turned off you will only find matches with people that are on the same platform as you. This means that if you’re on console then you won’t find games with people playing XDefiant on PC. Additionally, this can be used by PC players to ensure they only play against other people on computer.
Input-Based Match Making
XDefiant also has an option for input-based matchmaking, which can be turned on or off through the Matchmaking & Account settings.. With input-based matchmaking turned on you will only find matches with people using the same game input as you. For example, if you are playing with mouse and keyboard then you will only find matches where everyone is also using mouse and keyboard. This is helpful for PC players that don’t want to play in games against users on controller.
Can’t Find a Game in XDefiant
If you can’t find a game in XDefiant then you can try turning on crossplay and off input-based matchmaking. With these settings you are more likely to find a game as you can be matched with anyone.
