You can turn on simple edit in Fortnite by going to the game settings and selecting Building from the side menu. Once done you will see the Simple Edit and Tap To Simple Edit settings. For the fastest editing speed you will want to turn on tap to simple edit.
1. Open the side menu.
2. Select the gear icon to open the settings, on controller you may need to select Settings.
3. Go to the Game settings.
4. Select Building from the side menu.
5. Turn on Simple Edit, then select Apply.
