You can invite someone to a Discord server by clicking on the server title and selecting the invite people option. This allows you to copy an invite link which can be shared to anyone. Alternatively, you can find a specific friend and click the invite button next to their name. This will automatically send the invite link to them in a direct message. They can then use the link to join the Discord server.
- Click the server title.
- Select the Invite People option.
- Click Copy at the bottom.
- Send the link to the person you want to invite.
How to Make a Discord Invite Permanent
Discord allows you to edit invite links to expire after a specified amount of time or uses. This restricts how many times the invite can be used. In order to make a Discord link permanent you will want to set it to never expire and to have no limit.
- Click the server title.
- Select Invite People.
- Click the Edit Invite Link text at the bottom.
- Set expire after to Never.
- Set max number of uses to No Limit.
- Choose to Generate a New Link.
- Click the Copy button.
Can’t Invite People to Discord Server
To invite someone to a Discord server you will need to have the Create Invite permission in the server. Most public servers have this enabled for all of their members. However, some servers may restrict members to using a link they provide. Additionally, some Discord servers may choose to be more private and not allow members to create their own invite links to protect the server from malicious activity.
