Before cropping your video you will need to have an idea of how much you’re trying to remove. You can find the resolution of your video file by right clicking on it and selecting properties and details. Under the details you will see the width and height in pixels.

How to Trim a Video Clip using VLC Media Player

However, if the audio is before the subtitles then enter a minus sign before the amount (eg. -7.000 s).
